2. Products
Chai & Dye sells handmade quilted bags and pouches, hand-sewn in India.
Each item is handmade and may therefore present slight variations in colour, pattern, stitching, shape or dimensions. These variations are inherent to the handmade nature of the products and do not constitute defects, provided that the product remains materially consistent with its description.
Product photographs are provided as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary slightly depending on the customer’s screen settings and lighting conditions.
The country of manufacture of the products is India.
3. Prices, Taxes and Customs
Prices are displayed in euros unless otherwise indicated. Where local-currency display is available, the amount shown may be indicative. The payment will be processed in euros.
The final amount charged may vary slightly depending on the exchange rate applied by the customer’s bank or payment provider.
Any taxes, customs duties, import VAT, clearance charges or other fees applicable in the destination country will be clearly indicated before payment where Chai & Dye is able to determine or collect them.
Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, any import duties, import taxes or customs clearance fees not included in the purchase price may be payable by the customer.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery and customs information.
4. Orders and Payment
The customer may place an order by selecting the desired product and completing the checkout process.
Before confirming the order, the customer will be able to review and correct the order details.
By clicking the final order button, the customer confirms that the order entails an obligation to pay.
An order confirmation will be sent by email after payment has been successfully received.
Payments are accepted by credit or debit card through the payment provider available at checkout. Chai & Dye does not have access to the customer’s complete card details.
Chai & Dye reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of suspected fraud, payment failure, inaccurate information or product unavailability. In such cases, any payment already made will be refunded.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Products are shipped directly from India to the delivery address provided by the customer.
The estimated delivery time is 7 to 21 days, unless otherwise stated at checkout. This estimate may be affected by customs procedures, carrier delays, public holidays or events beyond Chai & Dye’s reasonable control.
A tracking number will be provided when available.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that the delivery address is accurate and complete.
If a parcel is delayed, lost or returned, the customer should contact Chai & Dye at hello@chaianddye.com. Chai & Dye will reasonably assist with the carrier or customs process and will comply with any applicable consumer rights concerning non-delivery, cancellation or refund.
If the product cannot be delivered within the agreed timeframe, or within the applicable legal maximum period, the customer may exercise the rights available under applicable law.
6. Right of Withdrawal
For customers residing in the European Union, the customer generally has the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days from the date of delivery, without giving any reason.
The customer must notify Chai & Dye of the decision to withdraw before the expiry of this period by contacting:
The product must then be returned without undue delay and, in any event, within 14 days after the customer has notified Chai & Dye of the withdrawal.
Unless the product is defective or incorrectly supplied, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the product, provided that this information was supplied before the purchase.
The product should be returned in its original condition, allowing only the handling reasonably necessary to inspect its nature, characteristics and functioning.
Chai & Dye will refund the amount paid, including the standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal notice. Chai & Dye may defer the refund until the product has been received or the customer has provided proof of return, whichever occurs first.
The right of withdrawal may not apply to products made according to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised products.
Further details are provided in the Return & Refund Policy, including the return address and procedure.
7. Legal Guarantee
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits the customer’s mandatory statutory rights.
For customers residing in the European Union, products benefit from the applicable legal guarantee of conformity. This guarantee covers products that are defective, do not correspond to their description or do not possess the qualities reasonably expected of them.
Handmade variations described in Section 2 do not affect the customer’s statutory rights where the product is defective or otherwise non-conforming.
To report a problem, the customer should contact hello@chaianddye.com, including the order number and photographs where appropriate.
8. Returns and Refunds
Returns, refunds and exchanges are handled in accordance with the Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in the Return & Refund Policy limits mandatory consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal and legal guarantees.
